Our Story

Our story

We met online in the spring of 2022. Our first date started at a coffee shop in Claremont. After having a great (but nervous) conversation, we went to tapas for dinner. We ended our 8 hour date by listening to music in Phoenix’s car.

Since then we have been inseperable on countless adventures together. Early in our relationship we went to Joshua Tree glamping and through central Mexico with Phoenix’s family. Our love of nature and travel has brought us all over California, Mexico and even to Canada.

While we have traveled far we love our home in Southern California, our local hikes, Disney trips, beach time and local escapes fill our calendar. Caitlin has introduced the world of opera, musicals and classical music to Phoenix. Phoenix has introduced Caitlin to the world of photography, Mexican culture, and muscle cars. It has been a joy to grow, learn and intertwine our lives together.

While at home we spend time with our two dogs and cat, gardening, and watching TV (Caitlin often requests trashy TV).

Phoenix proposed to Caitlin at the Bellagio Fountains in Vegas this April and we are so excited to celebrate our marriage with you.

Nuestra Historia

Nos conocimos por internet en la primavera de 2022. Nuestra primera cita empezó en un cafe en Claremont. Después de una conversación un poco nerviosas las dos decidimos ir a   cenar tapas. Terminamos nuestra cita de 8 horas escuchando música en el coche de Phoenix.

Desde entonces, hemos sido inseparables, y hemos ido en innumerables aventuras juntas. Al principio de nuestra relación, fuimos a un glamping en Joshua Tree y al centro de México,  San Luis Potosi, con la familia de Phoenix. Nuestro amor por la naturaleza y los viajes nos ha llevado por toda California, México e incluso a Canadá con la familia de Caitlin.

Hemos viajado lejos, pero tambien nos encanta nuestro hogar en el sur de California; nuestras caminatas locales, viajes a Disney, la playa y los viajes locales llenan nuestra agenda. Caitlin ha introducido a Phoenix al mundo de la ópera, los musicales y la música clásica. Phoenix le ha dado a conocer el mundo de la fotografía, la cultura mexicana y los muscle cars. Ha sido una alegría crecer, aprender y entrelazar nuestras vidas juntas.

En casa, pasamos tiempo con nuestros dos perros y gato, haciendo jardinería y viendo la televisión (Caitlin a menudo pide televisión basura).

Phoenix le propuso matrimonio a Caitlin en las fuentes del Bellagio en Las Vegas este abril y estamos muy emocionadas de celebrar con ustedes.

Our most memorable trip

Phoenix will never forget our first trip through central Mexico, specifically our time in Oaxaca City when we all got sick with Covid. While this could have been tragic, the Robledos gathered around, made soup in hotel rooms and when everyone was strong enough headed back to San Luis Potosi. The silver lining was we got to see some of the state's amazing waterfalls, and lagoons later that week in the eastern part of San Luis Potosi called La Huasteca.

Caitlin will always remember our adventures in Banff Canada, where similarly half our family got Covid. The time we spent in the northern rockies will never be forgotten, specifically our guided walk with a local native Metis member. The native told us stories and showed us medicinal plants on our walk.

Nuestro Viaje Mas Memorable

Phoenix no se olvidara nuestro primer viaje grande por el centro de Mexico en el verano de 2022. Mas especificamente en Oaxaca cuando a todos nos pego el Covid. Nos quedamos 4 dias en Oaxaca en un hotel y toda la fimila ayudaba treyendo caldo de pollo y medicina. Ya que nos sentimos bien regresamos a San Luis Potosi de nuevo. Como el viaje fue corto, decidimos viajar a La Huasteca Potosina para ver las caidas de agua y laguna Media Luna

Caitlin siempre se acordara de nuestra aventura en Banff, Canada en Julio 2022. Donde similarmente su familia se enfermo de Covid pero no a todos les dio. El tiempo que pasamos en los “Rockies” de Canada y especialmente una caminata que hicimos con nativos del Tribu Metis donde nos contaron historias, y nos ensenaron plantas medicinales locales.
